Addressing the Employment-Poverty Nexus in Kenya: Comparing Cash-Transfer and Job-Creation Programmes

This study examines the link between employment and poverty in Kenya. It finds high urban unemployment, widespread rural underemployment and suggests increasing workforce development, labour demand and labour shortage strategies e.g. through rural child-transfer programs.
