Local Service Delivery and MDG’s: A training course

This course is for professionals working in the field of local governance, public service provision, public sector reform and economic development. It offers a combination of presentations by top experts, innovative exercises and site visits, as well as ample opportunity to reflect on your own working context and a lively exchange of experiences with experts and other participants.

The following themes will be explored:

• How can services reach the poorest people, and thus contribute to development goals?
• How to design and control a clear divison of tasks and responsibilities between central and local authorities in the different sectors?
• How can the financial management of services be set up in a transparent way?
• And how can public private partnerships improve the delivery of services?
