It is a principle of LED to make use of local resources. Many communities are proud of their beautiful landscapes, mountains, waterfalls or heritage sites. But can a pretty landscape alone attract tourists to a location? Tourists have different needs which have to be considered when developing tourism potentials. Tourismⁱ development and LED follow the same objective for creating income and job opportunities and can become complementing principles.
